About Beyond Physical
Beyond Physical are dedicated to creating the return of vibrant health in the human being through natural, non invasive methods. Beyond Physicals unique programs of Body Psychology TM include Psychological profiling, Kinesiology, colour therapy and the Bio-energetic Synchronization Technique: A neuro-emotional reprogramming process developed out of Chiropractice.
We are focused on identifying and removing the many background causes of pain, emotional distress and disease in order to return the body to its natural state of self-healing. We also work effectively with individuals who are not necessarily ill or in physical pain, but who are seeking to further their understanding of themselves including removing emotional and behavioural distress and realising the conscious role they can play in creating their personal goals and desires.

What happens in a session?
The Bio-energetic Synchronization Technique (B.E.S.T.) recognizes that the body is more than the sum of its parts. It is a non-forceful, hands-on procedure used to help reestablish the full healing potential of the body.
B.E.S.T. is widely used by health care practitioners all over the world who practice wholistic healing. It is a system of health care that is state of the art in addressing the root cause of illness. The fastest way to help the body is to address root cause, not treat symptoms and as a large part of Beyond Physical programs, it is the leading technique to do so.
Why it works
When we see, imagine or remember danger with enough emotion, the body responds as if it is being attacked in the present moment. The nervous system autopilot kicks us into ‘fight or flight’ even if there is no current threat. Our body reacts as if there is a wild animal like a wolf or bear in the room and in order to get away from it, our body shifts priorities and stops it's healing processes.
It is only when our conscious mind gets the message that ‘the bear is gone, we are safe!’ that we can once again automatically use our ability to heal. But what if your conscious mind never got the message?
Our bears are the things that negatively affect us. Many things do that: The 6 essentials (see our blog), our past emotional issues and our current choices. Let’s think of physical trauma (e.g. a car accident) and emotional turmoil (a loved one passing) as bears. The bear turns up and we go into fight or flight: our heart rate increases, muscles get tight, blood pressure raises and digestion shuts down. Normally, when the bear goes, our conscious mind receives information from our nervous system telling us that we are safe again: Our blood pressure and heart rate falls, muscles relax and healing can resume.
If a bear is big enough or multiple bears turn up at once we can ‘jam’. It is like hitting all the keys on the keyboard at once. We get totally stuck in the DANGER physiology. In this case, even if the bears leave, we never get the message or believe that they are really gone. Beyond Physical clear the body and its systems so that the message can get through and healing can resume.
Without getting too technical, Science has proven that our thoughts and intention can physically move and alter the particles that create both our physical bodies and our life experiences. Our thoughts and intentions are created by our beliefs, and our beliefs can be held in our conscious mind or our subconscious.
If our body and its energy is in its natural state, we will likely be well and create positive things in our lives. If we are stuck with bears in our subconscious, we are likely to have inappropriate responses to stimuli and feel unnecessary stress which eventually will create symptoms of illness and unpleasant experiences.
Most forms of pain come from negative stress. This negative stress comes from four sources: trauma, toxicity, emotions and thoughts. Trauma is physical stress or injury, toxicity is dietary stress or injury, and thoughts are usually associated with negative attitudes and feelings. What happens is the stress from injury, poor diet, or negative thoughts causes the body to react in ways that actually help us survive the situation, but look and feel bad and painful to us. What we do is find that unpleasant input, remove it and get the body back on track to healing.

The Wider Benefits
Generally speaking, we use Biofeedback to ask the body what its top priority (the baggage) is. By touching certain pressure points whilst having you think about specific memory stress, we have found that the body begins to communicate again with the brain as it was designed to. The brain controls the functions of the body and when they work together, body balance, restoration of health and feeling well are the results.
We believe that there is virtually nothing the body cannot make improvements in or overcome and we are frequently proved correct and even pleasantly surprised by how amazing the human body really is.
What happens in a session?
Again, for results, the answer depends on the problem. Some people suffer from severe dietary distress that can take months to correct. Other people have back pain from a sports injury that may take weeks to treat. Still others can find permanent results in a matter of three or four visits. Often, our patients are suffering distress from more than one source. However long it takes to correct the problem, all the causes of the distress must be discovered and then corrected by re-establishing the natural balance of the body. Please read more in FAQ's.

How long will it take and when Can I See Results?
The length of time for treatment depends upon your personal circumstances. Obviously, a simple muscle strain may be corrected more easily than a severe back injury that has existed for several years. That's why we do a full study of your health history, and prescribe the best course of treatment just for you. Usually you will feel some relief after a single treatment. Sometimes it can take a bit longer. After the initial treatment, we must look at correcting the underlying cause to restore your body so any pain or symptoms will not return.
In January of 2004, Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, president of Parker College of Chiropractic, addressed a gathering of 8,000 chiropractors in Las Vegas, Nevada. After presenting Dr. M.T. Morter, Jr. with a "Lifetime Achievement Award" for his service to humanity, his contribution to the field of chiropractic, and the development of the B.E.S.T., he reported the results of research recently completed by Parker College.
The patients that were involved in the study had failed to respond to other medical care and other forms of chiropractic. They felt if they saw a 15% improvement in the casework, the utilization of B.E.S.T. would be considered clinically significant. Overwhelmingly successful, the results provided an 85% improvement in the patients, not only in their areas of primary pain, but in other areas of their lives such as improved emotional stress level and overall well being.
